Giving Opportunities are listed below and we appreciate any amount.
Larry Dittmar — Donations in memory of Larry Dittmar to provide continued support for his work in Kenya to establish music programs there and mentor the students and teachers of the BLISS Secondary School.
BLISS Scholarships — $150 supports a student for a year at Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School. Many students are the first in their families to receive a secondary (high school) education. Our yearly scholarship fundraising goal is $8,000 for 50 very needy BLISS students.
Computers — We need to replace 20 ten-year-old desktop computers at BLISS. We are able to buy 1-year-old PCs in excellent condition for $400 apiece. The total need is $8,000.
Water — We are working with the village of Kithoka to drill a well and then pipe water to fifty area farmers. Our fundraising goal for this effort is $10,000.
Internet Access — Our initiative to provide free internet access for e-Learning to Kithoka teachers, administrators, and students has been very well received, especially during the pandemic with most schools and universities being closed in Kenya. Our yearly fundraising goal is $5,000 to support this effort.
